When mixed album “Mehdi Mix 1” was released this Eid featuring five renowned musicians, Bappa Mazumder’s song “Kobita” received spectacular response. On Tuesday, the song’s music video was released on YouTube to widespread acclaim.
The video has received praise in particular for its beautiful visuals, colours, and story. Bappa’s talent for acting is revealed in the video.
The music video tells a story of a couple where misunderstanding arises but their love for each other resolves everything. Bappa demonstrates great expressions which carry his character. Sushmita Sinha starred opposite Bappa with a delightful performance as well.
In a conversation with the Dhaka Tribune, Bappa said: “All credit goes to the director; he brought the best out of me.
“As I am not comfortable acting, the director helped me a lot to understand my character,” he added.
The video was directed by Shuvobroto Sarkar, and released under the banner of G-Series. The song was written by Samuel Haque.
Bappa also complemented the script written by Moumita Biswas. If the script demands and complements his singing style, Bappa might be seen in more music videos in the future as well.
Talented composer and music director Mehdi compiled the album for Eid. For the album, Bappa Mazumder, Mizan, Shuvo, Autumnal Moon, and Ehsan Rahi lent their voices to the songs titled “Kobita,” “Jabei Jodi Chole,” “Bondhu Amar,” “Ekla Mathe,” and “Rong Dao.” This is Mehdi's first mixed album which was released under the banner of Agniveena.
